Coffee Cart / Mobile Vending Unit Features & SpecificationsThe MVU has numerous features.
1. Stainless steel construction: With the exception of the gullwing doors, the MVU is manufactured from 316 (hospital) grade stainless steel. 2. Gullwing doors: The gullwing shape of the doors
serves a number of purposes: 3. Double stainless steel sinks: The foldout, hygienic food vending unit (FVU) unit includes: two sinks, waste disposal, hot water system, manifold system, pumps, locking mechanism, water connection points and water filtration. 4. Box gutter: The box gutter is located between the two gull-wing doors and collects rain etc, which is then vented to down pipes located within the main frame of the MVU. 5. Dry Storage: On a standard MVU, the dry storage area occupies approximately one third of the under counter space with access being via two doors that open and slide back against the outside walls of the storage area. A cash drawer is cleverly concealed for security. 6. Wheels: For stability, the wheels at one end of the MVU are fixed. The wheels at the other end steer the MVU. The fixed wheels accommodate locks for security. 7. Water Filtration: The onboard water cartridge filters water to one micron. 8. Waste Collection: Waste is directed to on on-board, removable waste container via an integrated manifold system. Where the MVU is located in one permanent position, the waste and water can be permanently connected. 9. Plumbing: On a MVU configured for vending food, water is fed either from on-board tanks or mains water to the hot water system, two hand basins, food or beverage equipment etc. Unused water and waste is returned to the on-board waste container or external waste point via manifolds. Water and/or snow is fed from a box gutter between the gullwing doors to internal pipes that exit close to the ground adjacent to each corner of the MVU. 10. Counter Extensions: The length of a MAXI MVU is 77 inches with the end doors closed. When the doors are open, they become counter extensions with each providing an additional 39 inches of counter area (and these extensions can hold up to 330 lbs.). With both doors open, the MVU is therefore four meters in length. MVUs can be operated with one or both doors closed. 11. Refrigerator: The on board refrigeration has a capacity of 21 gallons. 12. Cash Drawer: The cash drawer is located in the area immediately below the counter and adjacent to the on-board refrigerator. They are spring loaded and accessed by lightly touching the draw itself. The drawers may be locked by a key. 13. Integrated Lighting and Signage: For easy operation and night-time identification. Three 12 volt down lights illuminate both the bench space and advertising (POP) material in the gullwing door on the customer side. 14. Energy Management Unit: An on-board computer controlled system optimizes power usage by intelligent load shedding. Refrigeration and heating operates within set parameters and, once within those parameters, energy is directed to other equipment. 15. Handles: There are two removable handles at each end of the MVU. They are used for pushing and steering the MVU. The MVU comes in three sizes, with a number of options and because of its modular design, MVUs can be customized as required. However, all MVUs are manufactured to the same exacting standards. Except for the aluminium Gullwing Doors, MVUs are made from 316 (hospital) grade stainless steel.
